It has now been confirmed that former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will not become the sporting director of French Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint Germain as speculated.
There were rumours that the French man is being considered to pick up the job with PSG seeking for a new and experienced person to handle the position.
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelafia has stated that the club have no intention to recruit the former Arsenal boss, noting that the club already have a sporting director, Antero Henrique who is still loved at the club.
However, Arsene Wenger has been jobless since he left the North London outfit in the last summer and was immediately replaced by Spanish manager Unai Emery.
Arsene Wenger is no doubt one of Arsenal’s best managers and the most successful in the club’s history but his last years were rough as he could no longer motivate the team and hand them a Champions League qualification.
He is believed to have had enough holiday as he had wished for but there are indications he is now looking forward t returning back to football and be busy.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have moved on with the former PSG boss but are still battling to secure a Champions League qualification ahead of next season.
