English premier league outfit Arsenal are still in pole position to secure the signature of German outfit Hamburg star David Bates in the winter transfer window, according to the Daily Mirror, as cited by the Daily Record
A number of Premier League sides have been showing interest in David Bates and they are all desperate to secure his signature in coming days but it is understood that the deal will fall in place for the North London club.
The star player has been impressive for the German side and is believed to be moving out knowing that Hamburg has been relegated and currently playing in the second division.
His feat has also made him wanted by German Bundesliga clubs having helped his side to keep six clean sheets in the eight games under his belt so far this season.
However, English Premier League side Everton are also in the race for the signature of the Scotland Under-21 player, alongside Watford, Leicester City and Southampton but they are believed to have missed out of the race to the North London club.
Arsenal are desperate to secure qualification to the Champions League next season which is the reason why they are keen to secure more additions to their team.
