Arsenal new managing director Vinai Venkatesham has hinted that his side are now ready to win trophies.
The Gunners have not been title contenders for the past years as they last won the Premier League over a decade ago. Hope was restored with the two FA Cups won by former manager Arsene Wenger in 2014.
Since then, the North London side competed without silverware and that might have seen its end following the hint by the team’s chief.
Venkatesham explained that a lot of structure has been put in place off-pitch that will ensure the fans laugh at the end of the day.
The new managing director who replaced former Arsenal chief, Ivan Gazidis in September said a target has been set for the team to win trophies, boasting that it would be actualized under the manager in no distant time.
He made it clear that a lot will be done but it has to be done in the way the club wishes by respecting the history and the values that have been obtainable over the years.
According to him, the North London side have a ‘self-sustaining business model that makes it possible to fund all the investment on the pitch with the revenues generated off the pitch.
