Why Denis Suarez could mean the end of Fabregas at Chelsea

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is looking to fortify his midfield position during the upcoming winter transfer window.

The Italian manager believes summer signing Jorginho is being overused, so, he’s ready to bring a new midfielder as a backup to his compatriot.

Considering the manner with which the Italian midfielder began life at Stamford Bridge, you will be surprised he’s playing in the league for the first time in his career.

However, his performance in recent weeks points to the fact that he’s becoming a bit tired and overstressed by the League’s hectic fixtures.

According to the Mirror, Sarri is keeping close tabs on Barcelona’s 24-year-old midfielder Denis Suarez, who has been a bit-part player under Valverde this season.

The midfielder has failed to reach his full potentials at Camp Nou, featuring in just one match so far this season.

He’s poised to leaving the Spanish giants in January as he searches for greener pasture.

Sarri is reportedly willing to release £15m for his services but it remains unknown if the Blaugranas sanction his move to Stamford Bridge for such amount.

Denis Suarez will definitely have an effect on Sarri’s lineup, should he eventually join the West London Club. Apart from being a backup to Jorginho, the 24-year-old could turn out to be the end of Cesc Fabregas stay at Stamford Bridge.

The former Arsenal midfielder has failed to nail down a permanent spot in Sarri’s lineup and he is said to be heading out of the team.

Fabregas was a regular starter for the Blues during Conte’s first season with the team but couldn’t keep his place towards the end of last season.

Despite his impressive Premier League record, Sarri didn’t rate the Spaniard and he wasn’t convinced of his quality.

The manager is now planning to release him in January so as to create space for a much younger and active Suarez to step in.

According to report from Italy via Tuttosport, AC Milan are set to make move for Fabregas in January as they look to bolster their midfield’s setup.

The San Siro outfits haven’t been too impressive at the middle of the pitch and they are hoping to put an end to their uninspiring display by snatching the 31-year-old from Sarri’s watch.

Although the Blues have set a £11m price tag on the player’s signature, the Serie A side are more determined to see the former Barcelona player at San Siro in the second period of the campaign.

Fabregas has seen it all in the English League. He’s won many trophies with Chelsea and Arsenal. It’s high time he face challenges from other League.
