West Ham United have been boosted by the news that the Chelsea duo of Danny Drinkwater and Victor Moses could be available for transfers when the penultimate transfer window reopens in January.
The two Chelsea players are on the verge of leaving the club after manager Maurizio Sarri revealed that they are not in his plans.
According to the Italian, former Leicester City and Manchester United midfielder Drinkwater can’t play in a twin midfield.
The England international was part of the Leicester City team that surpassed all expectations by winning the 2015/16 season Premier League title under the guidance of Italian manager Claudio Ranieri.
On retired Super Eagles winger Victor Moses, the former Napoli and Empoli boss revealed that he doesn’t fit into his system.
Sarri further pointed out that Victor Moses functions well as a wing back and that he’s neither a fullback or a winger.
West Ham United were previously linked with Danny Drinkwater during the summer’s transfer window but nothing came out it, while Victor Moses enjoyed a relatively successful spell on a season-long loan at the club while former manager Slaven Bilic was in charge.
Victor Moses could be an able replacement for summer signing and Ukrainian winger Andriy Yarmolenko who recently got injured and has been ruled out of action for the majority of the season.
