Arsenal star player Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is being linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium this summer, with Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester City all hunting for his signature.
However, former Arsenal player Ray Parlour is of the opinion that the player remains an important member of Arsene Wenger’s squad, and the French boss should not allow the Englishman leave the club.
It is understood that Oxlade-Chamberlain is considering his options while on holiday with a handful of Premier League clubs already monitoring his situation.
Liverpool have been after his tail over the past year, while Manchester City and Chelsea are also said to be his admirers.
Even though Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has previously revealed that he values Alex highly, the England international is yet to receive a formal offer to extend his stay at North London.
And Arsenal hero Parlour told talkSPORT that his former club will definitely try and keep the 23-year-old.
‘It’s all about his representatives who’d say “Is he going to play enough football?”.
‘Oxlade-Chamberlain is a key player and these days you do need big squads. I’m sure Arsenal will be sitting down with his agent, trying to sign him up.
‘But it’s up to Oxlade-Chamberlain, these players want to play. It’s going to be interesting but for me, I’d love him to stay”
