AC Milan president Paolo Scaroni has hinted that the capture of Arsenal chief Ivan Gazidis would be a gradual one and won’t be rushed.
Scaroni expressed confidence in striking a deal as he expects Gazidis to accept the offer to switch to Italy this month.
He noted that what is being expected is the final decision from the Arsenal chief but affirmed that talks have close to being concluded between the two parties.
The Milan chief stated that his side will continue negotiations with Gazidis, stressing that the process of selecting a CEO must be done well and calmly.
He told the press that the slowdown in the deal is a matter of time and a necessity to ensure the right person emerges.
According to him, anyone who will emerge as the club’s CEO must have a profile that fits AC Milan’s objective and Gazidis is the man for the job.
His major concern is ensuring an increase in the club’s revenue so as to match other big sides like Juventus for big players.
Milan have been challenged by Juventus’ move to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid on a big money move, hence someone is needed to help them challenge financially.
