Even after a streak of latest impressive performances, Manchester United are still 6th in the EPL table. They are 12 points behind table leaders Chelsea and also 4 points behind fourth-placed Arsenal.
Realistically, what the red devils should be more concerned about now is how to end up in the top four so as to get a Champions League ticket for next season. The Premier League title seem to be beyond them.
Now talking about the transfers, Manchester United are already known to be linked with a handful of top quality players, a major part of them are interestingly defenders.
Two main players heavily rumoured with a move into Old Trafford are central defenders Victor Lindelof of Benfica and Kostas Manolas of AS Roma.
Interestingly, a latest update that was provided by Italian football journalist Emanuele Giulianelli suggests that United boss Jose Mourinho is playing on two different tables and want to sign both Lindelof and Manolas.
Giulianell stated that one of the two defenders will end up joining Man United by the end of January.
Lindelof and Manolas are currently two of the best central backs in the world, and it’s obvious they won’t come cheaply. Lindelof is rising rapidly and Manolas is at the peak of his game at the moment.
