Various reports making the rounds claims that Chelsea are making plans to bring in French and Inter Milan versatile midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia to Stamford Bridge in January.
This follows after a poor run in form of creative midfielder Cesc Fabregas and defensive midfielder John Obi Mikel.
The two midfielders have failed to replicate last two season’s forms which saw them winning the EPL title and as such, they have both fallen down the pecking order in Antonio Conte’s starting eleven.
Mikel is yet to make any appearances for the Blues this season and a move-away from Stamford Bridge could take place in January, after the player recently voiced his frustration of lack of playing time.
Kondogbia joined the Italian giants last summer from Ligue One side AS Monaco. However, the 23-year old midfielder has found playing time hard to come by. He recently hinted at a possible move away from San Siro if things do not improve for him.
“I want to be playing and to be happy. Said Kondogbia.
“It’s normal that if the situation does not sort itself out, it would become difficult not to think about other things.”
According to Daily Star, Chelsea Italian tactician could capitalize on the situation and try to lure the former Arsenal target to Stamford Bridge in January.
