United transfer decision made after Fellaini injury

Marouane Fellaini

English Premier League outfit Manchester United will no longer have Scott McTominay leave the club in this January winter transfer window following an injury to Belgium international midfielder Marouane Fellaini.

There were earlier moves to have Scott McTominay leave the Old Trafford in this winter window on a loan move as he was not sure of a first team role in the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

But with the latest injury of the star midfielder, he will now have to remain at the club so as to serve as a cover for Marouane Fellaini.

New interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is believed to be a big fan of Scott McTominay and he is ready to hand him the job for the bigger stage as the Red Devils prepare to get the fight going for the top four fight.

So far, the 22-year-old ace has made only three Premier League starts this term and the interim boss says he deserves to have more playing time having shown big prospect already.

Meanwhile, Marouane Fellaini suffered a calf problem and will be out for another three weeks according to the medical department of the team.

United are now sixth in the Premier League table but share the same point with fifth-placed Arsenal.
