This United Player Is The Best Player Signed In This Season, Legend Reveals

Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Former Liverpool player Jamie Carragher thinks that the huge Zlatan Ibrahimovic is Manchester United’s signing of the season.

It is glaring that the Swedish legend has been in fine form since arriving Old Trafford from Paris St-Germain as a free agent in the summer. Prior to his arrival, many were of the opinion that he won’t cope in the English Premier League and would end up being sidelined. But Ibrahimovic has done well to silence critics of different types.

He has presently scored 16 goals for Manchester United in all competitions despite the fact that he arrived just few months ago. He is also presently the third in the EPL goalscoring charts, despite the fact that this is his debut campaign at English football.

Carragher, voicing his opinions about the situation, insisted Ibrahimovic is the best buy from United boss Jose Mourinho.

“In a year in which we saw the transfer record broken, the best acquisition is the one that arrived at Manchester United for no fee,” the pundit said .

“I felt critics looked at Ibrahimovic, when he was dominating in Serie A and Ligue 1, with an element of suspicion because he didn’t do it in the Champions League.

“Things started to change when he scored four against England for Sweden during a friendly in November 2012, but now he has arrived in the Premier League, he hasn’t let us down, with 16 goals in 25 games.

“You cannot dispute he is box office. He is charismatic, powerful and a scorer of all kinds of goals.

“Zlatan has shown us why he has won 29 major honours – including 11 league titles – during his glittering career.”

Although Mourinho brought in a handful of big players last summer transfer window -including making Frenchman Paul Pogba the world’s most expensive player – it is well obvious that Ibrahimovic is the main man.

We only hope he can keep on with his fine form, and perhaps, he can retire at Old Trafford as a United legend.
