EPL topside Manchester United are heavily linked to complete the signing of Victor Lindelof from Benfica in the fast-approaching January transfer window.
A Report recently claimed that United have agreed terms of contract that will make the Swedish international earn €17.5million in five years. It is obvious that coach Jose Mourinho need to reinforce his defence department and Lindelof will definitely add value to his squad when he finally arrived.
Additionally, one of Mourinho’s regular defender, Antonio Valencia, has being rewarded a new contract to extend his stay at Old Trafford.
Valencia won Man United’s player of the month award for his top impressive display last month, and, according to the Daily Mirror, United management has given the Ecuadorian star a contract worth £80,000-a-week that should expire at the end of the current campaign.
However, The Sun insisted that the the 31-year-old star has agreed a two year extension that will keep him at Old Trafford until 2018.
Valencia who has featured in 18 games for the red devils this season, was signed by Alex Ferguson after selling Ronaldo to Real Madrid. The 31-year old is a natural winger but recently has been converted into a right back role.
Additionally, A Bola had also reported that United are in talks to sign Benfica right back Nelson Semedo, in addition to Lindelof.
