Defender Set To Complete Permanent Chelsea Transfer

Tomas Kalas

A handful of Chelsea players not finding their feet at Stamford Bridge are making permanent moves away from the club, and it appears Tomas Kalas is the next in line.

According to the Mirror, the 24-year-old will complete a move to Hull City and become Leonid Slutsky’s first signing at the club.

It is understood that Leonid is a close friend of Chelsea owner Mr Roman Abramovich, and that the premier league champions could work closely with the Tigers by sending some Chelsea players to Hull City on loan following their relegation to the Championship.

However, Kalas is not being sent to Hull on loan but is making a permanent move.

The center-back arrived Chelsea from Sigma Olomouc back in 2010 in a move believed to be worth about £5.1 Million. However, in the past seven years, the best he could do is to make just four senior appearances for the Stamford Bridge club.

In the last seven seasons, he has spent more time away from Stamford Bridge as he was constantly being loaned out to other clubs – including Olomouc, Vitesse Arnhem, FC Koln, Middlesbrough, and Fulham.

It is understood that Kalas was expected to return to Fulham this summer, but due to the new-found friendship between the blues and Hull City, the player’s destination is shifting to another direction.
