Chelsea Loanee Attracting Interest From Scotland

Tomas Kalas

Scottish giants Celtic and Rangers are reportedly plotting a summer move for Bristol City defender Tomas Kalas.

This is according to the publication from popular media outlet Daily Record which claimed that the two Scottish clubs are keen to sign the Czech Republic international.

Celtic are targeting defensive reinforcements in the summer with Filip Benkovic, Jeremy Toljan and Dedryck Boyata expected to leave the club.

Tomas Kalas is presently on a season-long loan deal at English Championship club Bristol City from West London giants until the end of the season.

The 25-year-old has been in superb form for Bristol City since he joined them last summer.

His form has propelled the Robins to a playoff spot on the English Championship table.

Tomas Kalas has played 27 league games for Bristol City this season.

He has spent different loan spells away from Chelsea.

The Czech Republic international player has been on loan from Chelsea to six different clubs including Fulham, Middlesbrough and FC Koln.

He has scored two goals in 18 appearances for the Czech Republic.

The utility defender joined Chelsea in 2010 from Czech side Sigma Olomouc for a fee believed to be around £5.2m.

He can play either as a centre back or as a right-back.

Since his move to Chelsea, Tomas Kalas has played for the Blues in just two league games.
