Chelsea Star Does Not Want Fans To Compare Him With This Man United Player

Tiemoue Bakayoko

Chelsea summer signing Tiemoue Bakayoko has made it known that he isn’t concerned with replacing departed midfielder Nemanja Matic at Stamford Bridge.

The Frenchman also admits he needs to improve in two major areas if he is to become successful at the club.

After recovering from an injury he sustained in the summer, the former Monaco player is now becoming a major component of Antonio Conte’s side following his move from the Ligue I club.

Bakayoko has found his way into the Chelsea engine room that was left opened by Serbian midfielder Nemanja Matic who left for Manchester United during the past summer transfer window.

However, the France international insists he is a different player from Matic, and that he must make progress in both his use of the ball and tactical discipline for him to be given more playing time at his new club by his new manager Antonio Conte.

While speaking ahead of his side’s 4-2 victory over Watford on Saturday, the 23-year-old told Sky Sports (His hair was still white)about his love and respect for Nemanja as a player who is really good at what he does.

He, however, added that he isn’t playing at Chelsea to do what Matic did while the Serb was still at Stamford Bridge, but that he is in Chelsea to play his own game and do his own stuff.
