Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko has completed a move to join AC Milan on loan, according to reports.
The French midfielder arrived Stamford Bridge last summer from AS Monaco, following his standout season with the Ligue 1 giants as they rode to win the league in emphatic fashion.
However, Bakayoko has not been able to continue in the same fashion for the Blues, due to his poor form for the club. He was once again left out of the team that faced Huddersfield in their season’s opener.
Reports in Goal.com claims that the midfielder has left Chelsea to a move to AC Milan on a season loan, with an option to make permanent.
Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri had earlier hinted at possible loan moves for fringe players as he hopes to trim his squad to accommodate three to four young players.
The arrival of Matteo Kovacic from Real Madrid on a loan move also meant doom for some players with the likes of Ross Barkley and Danny Drinkwater also expected to leave the club before the end of summer business in other leagues in Europe.
In related news, Sarri has admitted that he regrets not signing Gonzalo Higuain from Juventus before the Argentine joined AC Milan instead.
The striker had earlier revealed that he snubbed Chelsea because it appeared as if it was only the manager that wanted him to sign for the club.
