AS Monaco winger Thomas Lemar wants to join Arsenal this summer despite their non-involvement in France, according to reports.
The 21-year-old was a key performer for the Ligue 1 winners the last term as they stunned everyone with their stunning performances that saw them reach the semifinal of the Champions League.
Reports in the L’Equipe claim that Arsenal have shown their interest in signing Thomas Lemar with reports that the player is also open to the idea of playing for the Gunners next season despite not be Champions League.
The report also have it that Monaco want £26million for Lemar which could spark a bidding war between interested parties this summer.
The Gunners will need to beat the likes of Tottenham and Juventus to the signature of the winger as they hope to improve their current squad to compete for major trophies.
It is understood that the 21-year-old wants to play at Arsenal due to the presence of French players at the Emirates and also fancies the prospects of playing under Arsene Wenger who is highly regarded in France.
Thomas Lemar netted nine goals and 10 assists in 34 appearances in the French Ligue 1 to help Monaco win the French title at the expense of Paris Saint-Germain.
