Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has stated clearly that he wants to join Spanish La Liga giant Real Madrid from Chelsea, as per reports emanating from Spain.
Spanish publication Marca is claiming that Blues’s board are fully in the know that the Belgian wants to sign for Real Madrid, with his current Chelsea deal due to expire in the summer of 2019.
The same publication claim that Chelsea hierarchy knows that Thibaut Courtois wants to sign for the reigning European Champions as a top priority and that he is holding out for a transfer to The Santiago Bernabeu.
However, although the report claims that the goalkeeper is happy at Stamford Bridge, he feels that his time in the Premier League could be ending very soon.
The Belgium international goalkeeper has developed into one of the best goalkeepers in World football since joining the West London club and becoming the club’s first choice goalie between the posts.
It remains to be seen if the La Liga Champions would decide to sign Courtois or if they are still hoping to bring in David De Gea, their long-term target from Manchester United.
The Chelsea safe hand will be expecting to play for Chelsea when they return to English Premier League action at the weekend with a tie against Crystal Palace at the Selhurst Park.
