Heading for the exit at the Camp Nou, Cristian Tello is determined to return to Fiorentina after his successful loan spell at the club last season.
After enjoying a six-month loan with the club in the latter half of the season, Barcelona’s Cristian Tello is angling for a permanent move to Fiorentina and turned down Liverpool for the Viola.
The Spaniard had failed to establish himself in the first team of the Spanish champions and spent the first half of the last campaign on loan at Portuguese outfit Porto, before arriving at the Stadio Artemio Franchi in January.
Tello made a positive impact during his half season and Italy and is keen to remain with the club, despite interest from Europa League runners-up Liverpool, according to reports.
Jurgen Klopp’s Premier League side have made an approach for the 24-year-old which was turned down by the player, who is thought to be holding out for a return to the Viola.
Negotiations between the Gigliati and Barcelona continue over a permanent deal to bring Tello back to Serie A .
Tell0 has one full international cap with the Spanish national team and represented his country in their disappointing 2012 Olympic Games campaign in London.
The Barcelona-native scored two goals in his 15 Serie A appearances during his spell with Paulo Sousa’s men.
