Chelsea youngster Tammy Abraham is the latest English young prospect looking to be poached by the Amaju Pinnick led Nigerian football federation.
Having already taken fellow Chelsea starlet Ola Aina from England recently, the Nigerian Football Federation are now looking towards poaching forward Tammy Abraham, as reported by TalkSport.
Ola Aina’s move perhaps makes a lot of sense, as the right fullback has a relatively lower profile than Tammy Abraham, who has already stamped his feet at England youth levels and seems set o take the step up even further.
Nigeria Football Federation President Amaju Melvin Pinnick was quoted saying “It’s been a long process but I (Pinnick) can inform you (journalists) authoritatively that he (Tammy) has agreed to play for Nigeria (Super Eagles) and not England (Three Lions)”.
However England and Chelsea youngTammy Abraham may want to thread a much easier path like Ola Aina has had, with the defender already looking to be well settled as number one choice in the Super Eagles first team, and feels that he will be better off threading that same path and quickly establishing himself there instead of playing second fiddle to Tottenham’s Harry Kane for many years with the Three Lions.
