Michael Owen is already tipping United’s clash against Stoke City on Saturday to be a tight match where we shouldn’t expect too much goals.
Manchester United are heading into the game looking to return to their winning ways in the Premier League after drawing 1-1 draw with rivals Liverpool at Anfield last weekend.
The United team have undoubtedly been in much improved form under new coach Jose Mourinho in recent weeks, and they are still on a 16-game unbeaten run in all competitions.
However, former Manchester United striker Michael Owen, is predicting to see a tight game when the Old Trafford club make the trip to the Britannia Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Owen, writing in his column for BetVictor said:
“Peter Crouch is just one away from joining the 100 Club – players who have reached a ton or more Premier League goals [and] good luck to the much-travelled striker who has been a credit to his profession.
He [Crouch] may have to wait for another week however, and I expect to see a tight close game in the Potteries with few chances.”
Jose Mourinho has been tasked with steering Manchester United back to the top of English football after they ended fifth-placed under Louis van Gaal last season. The Portuguese coach was brought in as Van Gaal’s replacement at Old Trafford in the summer of 2016.
