Liverpool star player Lazar Markovic has been linked with a move away from Anfield and has emerged as a target for Serie A side Fiorentina.
In a new development however, there are reports that the Italian club have pulled out of the race to sign the out-of-favour player as they believe the £16m price-tag slapped on his head is too much.
The Serbian star was signed from Portuguese side Benfica three years ago but has failed to impress at Liverpool and has spent the last two seasons on loan.
He was with Hull City at the end of last term and couldn’t help prevent the club from being relegated from the English top flight.
The Mirror said Fiorentina are still interested in the winger despite all but backed out when they were told his price.
It was also added that Liverpool are not ready to lower his price as there are interests for him from other clubs including Watford and Leicester City.
It is understood that Markovic has been told by the club boss Jurgen Klopp that he is not part of his plans at Anfield for the upcoming campaign and that he should find a new club before the end of this summer transfer window. But despite this, the reds do not seem desperate to sell him and won’t be letting him leave at a very cheap price.
