Serie A Giant Step Up Bid To Sign Unwanted Chelsea Striker

The future of Chelsea striker Diego Costa has been clear for some time: manager Antonio Conte doesn’t want him at the club and is keen to see him leave the Bridge, but it’s easier said than executed.

With just about one month remaining of the summer transfer window, the Spain International striker isn’t even remotely close to departing after his former club Atletico Madrid were handed a transfer embargo, but Serie A giant AC Milan are set to step up their bid to sign him.

According to Italian news outlet Calciomercato, Italian side AC Milan are to make a solid bid to sign the want-away striker, but only if he commits his future to AC Milan.

Diego Costa had his heart made up on a return to former side Atletico Madrid before their transfer embargo and is open to a loan transfer until the January transfer window opens up, and Atletico Madrid can sign the Spain striker, but AC Milan want him on a permanent basis and more importantly, want to sign him for the long-term.

Premier League Champions Chelsea have moved on from Diego Costa with the £70m signing of Spaniard Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid, but are eager to see him depart in order to free up wages for potential new signings.
