Juan Cuadrado’s departure from Chelsea helped Victor Moses’ form at Stamford Bridge, according to Mikel Obi.
Moses has enjoyed an unprecedented success with Chelsea this season and has become a vital part of Conte’s 3-4-3 formation but Super Eagles skipper and club teammate believes the departure of Juan Cuadrado to Juventus made it easier for the winger to break into the first team.
He told Standard Sport: “This is the happiest I have seen Victor at the club. You can really the notice the change in him at the training ground.
Chelsea has gone 10-game winning spree in the Premier League using the 3-4-3 formation which Moses has being deployed to the right wing-back and has paid off remarkably for the Blues.
Mikel further revealed: “It was a key moment when Cuadrado went back to Juventus – Victor knew that as well,
“There was a chance Cuadrado would have had the right wing-back role instead, but he wanted to leave Chelsea.
“The situation with Cuadrado made it easier for Victor, but he had already impressed in pre-season by that stage.”
Moses has extended his impressive form to the national team with the Super Eagles helping Nigeria to a well-deserved victory against Algeria in the World Cup Qualifying series.
