See how happy Pogba made United great again

Manchester United Fans were thrilled with their 5-1 victory over Cardiff last night. The Red Devils were rampant at the final third of the pitch from the start to the end of the encounter.

It took them just three minutes and three seconds to score the first goal of the game via Marcus Rashford’s well-curled free kick. Anthony Martial, Ander Herrera and Jesse Lingard (double) went on to score before the end of the game.

We all saw a very ruthless and coordinated Manchester United team for the first time in a very long time thanks to Paul Pogba.

A HAPPY POGBA SHOWED CLASS

The new smiling manager Solskjaer, who was hired on a short-term deal, told reporters in his first press conference that he will build his team round Paul Pogba.

His decision to make the Frenchman his team leader on the field of player brought about some questions from pundits who weren’t sure whether the former Juventus midfielder is ready and capable for greater responsibilities.

However, the 26-year-old showed everyone why Mourinho’s men struggled without him. His passes were accurate, his dribbling were as wonderful as his two assists.

He was, directly and indirectly, involved in all the five goals that were scored by the Red Devils.

Though Pogba featured under Mourinho in the early part of this season and he didn’t live up to expectations, the reasons for his uninspiring displays could be traced to his unhealthy relationship with the Portuguese manager.

As matter of fact, the world cup winner was the first player who celebrated Mourinho’s dismissal which mean he was unhappy under the Portuguese manager. You don’t expect an angry player to put up a man-of-the-match performance, do you?

It looks like things have changed at Old Trafford since Solskjaer came into the helm of affairs. Pogba was smiling and happy on the training ground and he performed like a player who joined the Red Devils for such a mammoth price two years ago.

The player is happy and United are back to winning ways after enduring a woeful run of results since the beginning of the season.

It won’t be out of place to say that Solskjaer must ensure that the Frenchman remain happy if he wants to have a good run of results throughout his short-term stay at Old Trafford.

Despite yesterday’s victory over Cardiff, the 20-time Premier League winners still remain intact the sixth position with 29 points, however, they are now eight points behind Chelsea who are in the fifth position.
