Out of favour Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri has joined Antalyaspor in the Turkish league and penned a two-year contract, for a fee which could increase to £3.2million.

The France international midfielder, signed from the Emirate club for £25million back in 2011 and played 129 Premier League matches for the Skye Blues.

The former Arsenal midfielder won two Premier league titles and a League Cup during his time at City but spent last term on loan at La Liga club Sevilla.

Before he sealed the transfer away from City, the Frenchman was seen boarding a flight to Turkey.

Nasri followed the Manchester City team on their pre-season tour of the USA but had no future at the Etihad club under boss Pep Guardiola.

Turkish club Antalyaspor are captained by former Barcelona striker Samuel Eto’o, and the team have signed Jeremy Menez and former Arsenal man Johan Djourou, both former team-mates of Samir Nasri.

The 30-year-old made 176 appearances for the Gunners in all competitions and netted 27 goals.

The arrival of Pep Guardiola saw him loaned out and spent the last campaign at Sevilla, where he played 30 matches and netted three goals.

Nasri’s permanent transfer, which is subject to international clearance, brings an end to Nasri’s six-year stay at Manchester City.
