Former Liverpool winger Ryan Babel has joined struggling Premier League club Fulham to boost the Cottagers’ quest to survive relegation from the English top flight.
Babel signs for Liverpool from Turkish Super Lig club Besiktas where he had a relatively successful spell.
He joined the Turkish giants from Spanish La Liga side Deportivo La Coruna in 2017.
Ryan Babel scored six goals and provided one assist in all competitions for the Turkish giants this season.
The Dutch international is in line to make his debut for Fulham when they host injury-hit Tottenham Hotspur in a Premier League clash on Sunday.
Fulham have 16 games to go to preserve their Premier League status with the club five points from safety and three league wins all season.
Babel spent three-and-a-half years at Liverpool before leaving for German Bundesliga side TSG Hoffenheim.
He was recently part of the Netherlands squad that reached the semifinals of the UEFA Nations League under the guidance of manager Ronald Koeman.
The Netherlands are expected to face the Three Lions of England in the last four to determine a spot in the UEFA Nations League final.
Ryan Babel was also in the Dutch squad that reached the final of the 2010 FIFA World Cup tournament in South Africa.
