According to reports, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is prepared to be much more involved at Stamford Bridge.

A troubled week ended on a bright note on Sunday evening when Premier League Champions Chelsea defeat rivals Manchester United 1-0 at the Bridge.

Ahead of the clash at Stamford Bridge, Italian tactician, Antonio Conte’s mind games with Jose Mourinho dominated, as well as defender David Luiz’s reported training ground bust-up with his coach.

The former Juventus manager dropped the Brazilian for the Manchester United clash, a decision that eventually paid off as youngster Andreas Christensen produced an impressive performance in the win.

But Russian Billionaire owner Roman Abramovich, who has not really been part of the day to day running of the club since taking over the West London club back in 2003, wants to be much more involved.

According to The Daily Mail, the Billionaire owner wants to be more involved in the daily running of the Stamford Bridge outfit. Roman Abramovich knows the issue concerning David Luiz, but he isn’t worried about the Italian tactician’s handling of the issue.

The billionaire has had issues before with squad rifts. Portuguese tactician Jose Mourinho was sacked back in 2015, which reports claim it was due to tensions with top players in the team.

Another publication, the Mail claim Roman Abramovich wants to know if he might have a similar issue on his hands with Antonio Conte.

The Blues will travel to play West Bromwich Albion after the FIFA international break on Saturday, 18 November.
