Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has hinted at a possible summer move for Leicester City winger, Riyad Mahrez.
The Algerian star has been linked with a move to the Emirates since the last summer window, after he helped his side won the Premier League title which drew a lot of attention a couple of clubs in the league wit the Gunners also credited with an interest in him.
Although, Mahrez decided to remain at the King Power Stadium, extending his contract to fend off interest from suitors with reports that the winger wants to leave the club this summer after seeing them fail on repeating their impressive displays in the previous season as they struggled for most parts of the campaign.
Arsenal also believed to have retained their interest in Mahrez with reports that Arsene Wenger who recently signed a new deal to remain at the Emirates for another two years, is ready to add quality signings to his current squad next season.
Speaking about the possibilities of signing the winger, Arsene Wenger told beIN Sports: ‘Have we made a bid for him? No, not yet.
‘Not yet means it can happen and not happen.’
It is understood that Arsenal may have to stump up about £40million to sign Riyad Mahrez this summer but there are suggestions that the player have asked Leicester City to reduce the transfer fee.
