Ascoli talented youngster Riccardo Orsolini has just confirmed he is set to join Juventus at the end of the season.
The player has been linked with a move to the Stamford Bridge, but will actually complete a move from the Serie B side on Monday for a reported €10million fee, before returning back to Ascoli for the remainder of the season.
The talented teenager went viral last weekend after he produced a ludicrous piece of skill to leave an opponent on the floor. He confirmed now that the transfer is all-but sealed.
“Is the deal done? Let’s say so, yes,” the 19-year old said.
Additionally, he said he will definitely end the season with Ascoli and then begin the new adventure. To him, It’s all very exciting as it happened so fast over the past year. “I made my debut in the Serie B and was able to show what I can do.”
On why he chose Juventus, he said he chose the Serie A club because it’s a club with an ambitious project as they focus on youth and there’s no better place for him to grow.
One player Orsolini was often compared with is Bayern Munich and Netherlands winger Arjen Robben- but he however rejected the comparison. “The Robben comparison is really too much [though] I will try to do my best, but I can’t compare myself to Robben” he said.
He additionally joked that having got used to the black and white stripes of Ascoli Jersey, moving to Juventus makes perfect sense because, according to him, “black and white stripes are in my destiny”.
