Consecutive loan spells can be seen to be more of a curse than a blessing in most cases, with talented players stuck in loan limbo until they are finally sold to another team where their fate from then on is depended on several factors.
One player who isn’t a stranger to such loan spells is Chelsea FC winger turned right-wing back Victor Moses, who was bought by Jose Mourinho from Wigan and after being unable to break into the team was sent on recurring loan spells both in and outside London, after consecutive loan spells at West Ham, Liverpool and Stoke his role under new coach Antonio Conte was still undefined going into the new season.
There was barely any huge expectation of him going on to be one of the central figures responsible for the resurgence of a Chelsea FC becoming a domineering force in the charge for reclaiming their premiership title after a woeful campaign last season.
But to the surprise of both fans and critics the winger has blossomed under his new role with the club under the guidance of Antonio Conte, fresh off scoring a vital goal helping his country edge closer to world cup qualification in the international break, he returned to Chelsea and went on to be the man of the match in a hard-fought lone goal win against a highly organized Middlebrough side.
In his new role just ahead of a defensive trio he has had the most impact as his all round game has improved, defensively he has been putting in a vital shift, his new roles have made his offensive runs more timed and highly utilized as he is also aware of his defensive share of the workload, he has been afforded a lot of space under this 3-4-3 tactic and has blossomed with Pedro just in front of him.
Most of Chelsea’s goals have been created from the right flank with Victor Moses linking up with either Pedro or a free roaming Eden Hazard to free up Diego Costa to get the job done when needed.
Having seen his stock rise astronomically Chelsea fans will hope he can keep his good form and work ethic going and while the Italian revolution sweeps up Stamford bridge we will continue to monitor the rise and rise of Victor Moses, the renaissance man.
