Real Madrid are preparing to slap a huge £310million release clause on Liverpool target, Marco Asensio, according to reports.
The Spaniard broke into Real Madrid first team last season, churning out impressive displays during their wonderful campaign in the La Liga and Champions League, netting ten goals and three assists.
There have been interest from Premier League clubs considering major swoop on Asensio, with reports that Liverpool are frontrunners in the deal and even tried to sign him during the last January transfer market.
The Reds even failed in a £50million bid for the youngster while Manchester United have also been credited with an interest in the forward.
Reports in the Independent claim that Real Madrid will tie Marco Asensio to a new deal and insert a huge release clause in his new deal in a bid to fend off interest from interested clubs.
The 21-year-old has been a brilliant figure, despite being a substitute for most parts of their campaign and even scored a hat-trick for Spain’s under 21 side against Macedonia.
Known for his versatility, Asensio has shown bright abilities while playing in the central position or out wide that typically suit Jurgen Klopp’s tactics at Anfield but with a new deal for the forward at Real Madrid is looking more likely.
