The controversy continues for Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho who was involved in a ‘fight’ with one of Chelsea’s backroom staff Marco Ianni.
Ianni had run in front of United’s dugout to celebrate Ross Barkley’s late equalizer and that obviously got the Portuguese manager furious, a development that ended in a faceoff between the two officials.
The situation was only saved at the sound of the final whistle where the pair had to make their way to the dressing room.
Mourinho claims he was disrespected by the Chelsea’s backroom staff and disclosed that the situation has been put under control after manager Sarri came to apologise, telling him it would be resolved.
However, Mourinho boasted his side had played better in the final minutes of the game and deserve to be celebrated for that, adding that Belgium star Eden Hazard and Jorgingo were well controlled and not allowed to operate as usual.
Ianni has been working with manager Sari for some years back at Napoli before joining the Italian manager in the summer this season.
United succeeded in upsetting their host and almost walked away with all three points before they were stopped to share the spoil.
The result of the game is obviously a boost to manager Mourinho who has been tipped to lose his job if he suffered a defeat.
