Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has thrown his weight behind national team colleague Raheem Sterling for the PFA Player of the Year Award.

Raheem Sterling has been in superb form for Premier League champions Manchester City this season and Harry Kane believes that he deserves the PFA Player of the Year accolade.

At a news conference on Monday, Harry Kane lauded the impact of Raheem Sterling on both club and country.

Kane and Sterling are on England national team duty and both players will be hoping to play a big part for the Three Lions ahead of their Euro 2020 qualifiers against the Czech Republic and Montenegro.

Former Liverpool star Raheem Sterling has scored 19 goals for Manchester City in what has been a very good season for him.

He scored 23 goals in the last campaign and that turned out to be his most productive season meaning that the former Reds player is just four goals away from reaching that mark.

In addition, Raheem Sterling has scored 15 goals in the Premier League and he’s in the running for the Golden Boot Award.

Sterling and Manchester City are going for the quadruple (four trophies) this season and he played a big role in the first trophy won by scoring the winning penalty in a 4-3 penalty shootout win over Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final.
