PSG In Talks To Sign Ex-Liverpool Star

French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) are in talks to sign Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho according to the latest reports emanating from the media in Spain.

Coutinho has not had the best of times in Spain since joining La Liga giants Barcelona and he’s looking to move away from the club in a bid to resurrect his career.

According to trusted Spanish newspaper AS, PSG have firmed up their interest in the Brazilian international star by opening talks with the view to securing his transfer from Barcelona.

It was revealed that talks have been initiated by the new PSG sporting director Leonardo.

The Brazilian is back to the club after six years as a replacement for Antero Henrique.

Leonardo was the PSG sporting director between 2011 and 2013.

Philippe Coutinho secured his move to Barcelona from Premier League giants Liverpool in a controversial manner.

The 27-year-old became the most expensive player in world football aside from the PSG duo of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

Coutinho joined Barcelona in a deal reported to be around £142m.

The aforementioned report stated that PSG want to sign Philippe Coutinho shortly after the ongoing COPA America tournament in his native Brazil.

The player was in very good form during that opening game of the tournament after he scored a brace in a 3-0 win over Bolivia.
