Arsenal academy coach Per Mertesacker has vowed to help the club’s youth players with the right ingredients that will enable them to play outside England.
Mertesacker made this claim after seeing Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho make his England debut on Friday.
Sancho is one of a number of English youngsters playing in the German league and has not only excelled in the foreign land but adapted to the system obtainable there.
The Arsenal youth chief who cited Sancho as an example stated that the insinuations that everything about football should be done in England without accessing other country is wrong.
He noted that youth players should be able to play outside the country on loan, outside their comfort zone so as to gain the needed experience for them to succeed.
He, therefore, vows to help all Arsenal youth players with the right ingredients, attitude and knowledge that will help them cope while going away from home.
According to the German boss, he can help the Arsenal team produce more first-team players.
Sancho remains one of the young prospects in Europe and is interesting a lot of clubs including the big England-based clubs.
The German side have also made it clear that the young lad will not be allowed to leave the club for a cheap price.
