Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has revealed that the decision to recall Liverpool loanee Ovie Ejaria won’t affect the ties between the two clubs.
Former Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard spoke about the Nigerian-born English striker in his latest interview.
The Reds legend also added that the club can be rest assured that players loaned to Scottish giants Rangers will always have opportunities to play first team football.
Ovie Ejaria, 21, initially joined Rangers from Liverpool on a season-long loan deal only for him to return to Merseyside after he failed to come to terms with the physical demands of Scottish top flight football.
The young winger was a regular in the Rangers first team.
He made 28 appearances for Rangers in all competitions, including 11 in the UEFA Europa League.
Steven Gerrard and Rangers have already targeted Ejaria’s Liverpool teammate Dominic Solanke as a possible replacement for him.
The 21-year-old has struggled to break into the Liverpool team this season.
The Nigerian-born England international player has not played for the Reds first team this season and this is in stark contrast to his debut Liverpool season.
Dominic Solange featured 28 times for the Reds in his debut season for the five-time European champions.
