Former Chelsea coach and current Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho definitely needs someone who will provide a solid cover in front of the back four in his United team.

And so therefore,  the Old Trafford club are looking to sign a quite strong defensive midfielder in the fast approaching summer transfer window.

And according to recent reports going on in the media, star players like Danilo Pereira and Franck Kessie have been linked with moves to the Old Trafford club and have been in the spot light.

One popular player that has been constantly linked with a move to Old Trafford as well is Monaco star player Teimoue Bakayoko.

Manchester United tried to sign him in the past January winter window, but the 22-year-old France international eventually stayed with the Ligue 1 club.

Nevertheless, If the latest reports are anything to go by, then Man United’s coach Jose Mourinho can finally agree his signing for his side by meeting Monaco’s very high asking price.

According to some reports coming from France (FootMercato), the Les Bleus defensive midfielder will be allowed to leave if a fee of 60 million euros (that is $63million) is met.

Monaco are currently sitting on the top of the table in the French league with just 10 games to go this season. The club have been impressive and are even three points above defending champions PSG. Teimoue Bakayoko has been one of their top stars at the club.

This season so far, Tiemoue has featured in 38 games for his French club where he scored 2 goals and has also provided an assist.

Nevertheless, FootMercato additionally added that other top clubs like Chelsea and Juventus are also tracking the highly rated holding midfield star.

Jose Mourinho, judging from his previous adventures in other clubs, is known to always have at least one powerful defensive midfielder in his team. He is still lacking that currently at Man United, but hope to sign one soon.
