No Show: Mourinho Ruled Out Of Juventus Job

Jose Mourinho

Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has been ruled out of the race for the vacant managerial position at Italian champions Juventus.

According to Sky Sports News, Jose Mourinho won’t be the successor to Maximiliano Allegri at Juventus despite the clamor from star player Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo had earlier stated that he would welcome the appointment of Jose Mourinho at Juventus.

The Juventus superstar talked up Jose Mourinho as a potential manager at the Juventus Stadium earlier in the week.

The Sampdoria game this weekend would be the final match as the Juventus manager for Maximiliano Allegri.

Juventus have already sealed an eighth successive Italian Serie A ahead of their final game at Sampdoria.

During his time at Juventus, Allegri led the Old Lady to five straight league titles as well as to four Coppa Italia titles.

In addition, Maximiliano Allegri also led Juventus to two Champions League finals in three years.

Allegri and Juventus lost the 2015 Champions League final to Spanish champions Barcelona via a 3-1 defeat before suffering a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Real Madrid during the 2017 Champions League final.

Several candidates have been linked to the Juventus job including Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola though the Citizens have moved to dismiss those reports linking the Spanish tactician to the job in Turin.
