Barcelona forward Neymar has encouraged Manchester United to intensify their efforts to sign him this summer, according to reports.

The 25-year-old endured a frustrated spell under former boss Luis Enrique and has been tipped to make a move away from the Camp Nou with reports that the Red Devils are preparing to make a move for the star.

Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho had earlier admitted that it would be difficult to lure a player of Neymar’s calibre to the Old Trafford but reports have it that they have upped their interest in the recent months.

Reports in the Daily Record, Neymar is unhappy with life at Barcelona and will seek a move this summer, encouraging to make a move for him.

It is believed that Manchester United will be up to the task of prising Neymar away from the Catalan giants despite his astronomical transfer fee while Paris Saint Germain who reportedly held talks with the player last summer could also be a closest rival for his signature.

Mourinho is said to be frustrated at the club’s slow approach in the transfer market as they stall on finalising a deal for Alvaro Morata and Ivan Perisic, with reports that Real Madrid and Inter Milan are playing hard ball with the targets.
