Liverpool Loanee Wants More First Team Action

Nathaniel Clyne

Liverpool defender Nathaniel Clyne has targeted more first team opportunities with South Coast club Bournemouth ahead of the second half of the season.

The England international right-back expressed his delight on his return to the starting XI.

Nathaniel Clyne completed a short-term loan deal from Liverpool to Bournemouth on Friday.

The 27-year-old will stay with the Cherries until the end of the season.
He was immediately thrown into the deep end upon the completion of his loan deal.

Clyne played the entire duration of the game as Bournemouth lost 3-1 at home to South Coast rivals Brighton and Hove Albion in their FA Cup third round clash at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday.

The result ensured that Bournemouth were dumped out of the FA Cup at the third round stage.

Nathaniel Clyne had to leave Liverpool on loan in search of more first team opportunities.

Bournemouth won the race to sign him ahead of other Premier League sides like Cardiff City, Fulham and Leicester City.

Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock wanted to sign Nathaniel Clyne but the player ended up in the colours of the Cherries.

He missed out on the chance to reunite with Warnock who gave him his first professional start at Crystal Palace.
