Not Costa/Matic – Another Chelsea Star Set To Leave Stamford Bridge Again

Nathaniel Chalobah

Six players have already made permanent moves away from Stamford Bridge this summer and it appears the seventh is on the way.

Chelsea youngster Nathaniel Chalobah has been linked with a permanent move away from Stamford Bridge this summer with Watford keen on securing his signature.

The Englishman spent the 2012/13 campaign on loan at Watford and the London Evening Standard are reporting that he desire making a permanent move to the club.

It was added that the Vicarage Road club are in talks with the premier league champions over signing the midfielder for a fee in the region of £5m ($6.5m).

The youngster made 10 league appearances for Chelsea last season and it is understood that the Stamford Bridge club were prepared to offer him a long-term contract.

However, the 22-year-old had reportedly wanted assurances over first-team football before putting pen to paper.

But even if Chelsea will allow him go, they are very likely to add a buy-back clause in the deal, similar to the one inserted in Nathan Ake’s deal to Bournemouth.

Nathaniel joined the blues academy from Fulham at the tender age of 10 and has grown into a superb young adult. He was also part of the England Under-21 squad who represented the country at the European Under-21 Championship in Poland.

If the deal should sail through, Chalobah would become the seventh player to permanently exit Chelsea this summer following moves of the likes of Nathan Ake, john Terry, Asmir Begovic, and Bertrand Traore.
