The suggestions that Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho will be sacked anytime from now by his employers have been dismissed by a senior United source.
It was another bad weekend for the Red Devils family after seeing an embarrassing 3-1 defeat in the Saturday’s game against West Ham.
Mourinho has been at the centre of the whole mess and the insinuation now is that he can no longer handle the allegedly divided dressing room and his players.
With the tension becoming high on Saturday evening over the embattled manager, a senior club source hinted that Mourinho might still keep his job.
He gave this hint why dismissing the speculations that former Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane has been approached by Manchester United as a replacement for Mourinho.
He went ahead to describe the reports of Zidane as ‘rubbish’
However, the club’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has shown reluctance in making such a decision against Mourinho so as not to create instability in the club.
Recall that Woodward was also reported to have taken side with Mourinho in his rift with French midfielder, Paul Pogba but that relationship is currently being threatened.
It has been revealed that Woodward can only plead for more time for the former Chelsea manager but a sack is sacrosanct should he fail to turn things around.
Update! United are fed up with controversies, name price for Pogba
