One thing you can’t take away from Jose Mourinho, irrespective of the club he’s managing, is drama. Either he creates drama himself, or the drama comes to him – drama is always around him.
In their last match against Chelsea at the FA Cup quarter finals, we saw lots of dramas. And in their subsequent game played on Thursday against Rostov in the Europa League at Old Trafford, we saw more dramas – the outstanding one been Marcos Rojo’s banana incident.
And while a lot of people are already reacting to the incident -especially on social media, the manager Jose Mourinho tells his side’s fans to respect the Argentine after he was pictured eating a banana on the pitch on Thursday night.
While the match was on, the defender was pictured eating the fruit after requesting it from the bench.
However, after the game, Mourinho has stated that it was not something to be laughing about.
The former Real Madrid boss, speaking to BT Sport, stated that there are times when an individual is tired in life. He attested to the fact that there are many times he’ve been tired, and he knows when the body is in its limits and needing anything.
He asked Rojo not to be mocked, but that people should give players respect because they strive to give everything even in their limits.
Manchester United have now proceed to the next stage in the Europa Cup thanks to Juan Mata’s goal in the second half at Old Trafford.
Up next, Mourinho’s side will host Middlebrough at Old Trafford on Sunday in their next Premier League game.
