Liverpool star player Mohamed Salah made it known recently that he harbours the thoughts of moving to Anfield while he was still playing at Chelsea.
The Egyptian international has been superb this season since he joined the Merseyside club from Roma during the past summer transfer window.
Salah has scored 20 goals in 26 games so far for Liverpool, and has quickly made himself one of the most important members at his new side.
The 25-year-old scored his 20th goal in Liverpool’s 4-0 thrashing of Bournemouth during the weekend, and has caught the attention of various top European clubs including Real Madrid.
And speaking recently about his unfruitful period at Stamford Bridge, the African star player revealed Liverpool were interested in him before he chose to join Chelsea.
Salah wasn’t regretful not to have ignored Chelsea at that time, because, according to him, perhaps things might not be the same if he had been at Anfield earlier than now.
He also said he learned a lot from Chelsea, and that he knew he wanted to play for the reds when he first traveled to Anfield as a Chelsea player.
He has been linked with La Liga giants Real Madrid in recent times, and manager Zinedine Zidane recently heaped praises on him for his performances at Liverpool.
