According to new reports, Chelsea young star player Mason Mount has signed a new long-term deal at the club.
Even though the wonderkid is yet to make an appearance for Chelsea’s first-team, the 18-year-old talented midfielder has impressed as captain of the Under-18 team this season.
And news coming from English media states that the teenager has agreed to a deal which keeps him at the club for a long period of time.
He was part of the side that won the UEFA Youth League back in 2015/16, and he signed his first contract with the Stamford Bridge club in 2016.
It was revealed that even though Mason is yet to play under Italian boss Antonio Conte since the former Juventus manager’s arrival last summer, he has, on a number of occasions, trained with the first-team.
He is a talented player who as successfully captained Chelsea’s U18s to a place in the FA Youth Cup final. He has also played for his country England at U16, U17, U18 and U19 levels, and woul hope to break into Conte’s plans in the nearest future.
Although there is a stiff competition in Conte’s squad currently among the various experienced stars, Conte revealed not too long that he is willing to give Chelsea’s youngsters a chance to grow in his squad.
So, what Mason needs is to simply work very hard to be able to break into Conte’s plans.
