According to reports, Man United boss Jose Mourinho has heightened his interest in the transfer of Everton’s Romelu Lukaku due to doubts over Ibrahimovic’s future.
Lukaku looks very likely to leave Goodison Park this summer after getting the attention of several top clubs that can offer him better wages and the chance to play in the Champions League.
Premier League champions Chelsea have been strongly linked with the player for some time, but Jose Mourinho’s side are said to have stepped up interest in the Belgian forward.
The Old Trafford club are looking forward to a top class signing in the attack this summer but might need to break the world transfer record once more.
His agent Mino Raiola recently dropped the hint that Romelu desire moving away from Everton. However, the Toffees are keen to tie him down at Goodison Park.
The Belgium international scored 25 Premier League goals in the just concluded 2016/17 season and the Times claimed that Ronald Koeman’s side intentionally slapped the £100m on his head so as to scare the big guys away.
However, it is understood that Manchester United may be boosted in their attempt to get the Belgian’s signature after his agent revealed that his club has agreed to let him go this summer if certain criteria can be met.
