Manchester United are plotting a summer move for Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan, according to reports.
The 28-year-old has been linked with a move away from Rome since last summer, with reports that Antonio Conte who is a long-term admirer of his qualities tried signing to Chelsea but the move failed.
Italian journalist Gianluca Di Mazio have it that the Red Devils are now moving ahead of the Blues in the pursuit of Nainggolan with suggestions that Jose Morinho hopes to add the Belgian to his midfield next season.
Although, it is understood that the Belgian star wants to remain at Roma and will reject any potential deal despite keen interest from Premier League clubs.
Reports in Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Roma are open to cashing out on the midfielder this summr and values him at £35 million.
Conte remains keen on adding a box-to-box midfielder to his current set-up at the Stamford Bridge and has targeted Nainggolan as one of his major targets this summer transfer window.
Nainggolan also confirmed Chelsea were interested in him last summer, he said: ‘Yes. I talked to him [Conte],
‘They were really interested and wanted me over there. That’s all I can say.’
The Blues boss had earlier revealed that he will be bringing reinforcements in a bid to replace the likes of Mikel Obi, Ivanovic and Oscar who all left the club last winter window.
