Manchester United Coach Jose Mourinho Reveals Who Is To Be Blamed For Draw With Bournemouth

Following Manchester United 1-1 draw with Bournemouth, United coach Jose Mourinho has stated that his side can only blame themselves for their draw with their opponent.

Jose Mourinho’s men were held to a 1-1 draw home at Old Trafford by Bournemouth as they unfortunately missed the chance to zoom pass Liverpool and Arsenal in the table.

Argentina international Marcos Rojo had given the Old Trafford club the lead before Bournemouth’s Joshua King equalised from the penalty spot right in the first half.

As the red devils search desperately for a winner in the second half, they eventually got a chance to score on the penalty spot. However, Swede star Zlatan Ibrahimovic failed to convert from the spot-kick.

And at full-time the Portuguese tactician was left to rue United’s missed chances, stating he can not blame anyone else but themselves, since they missed big chances.

“What happened was [that], we played phenomenal in the first half and should have been winning 3-0 or 4-0 – but then it ended up 1-1. Who can I blame? Ourselves. Nobody else. We missed big chances.

“In the second half we played different team with a man less. I understand their need for one point in the survival battle and they just defended to make it difficult for us. I understand that. And on top of that the goalkeeper was phenomenal.

“We felt pressure of the clock running down and lost the quality of our attacking football. We didn’t lose intensity or desire but the reality is we did not score goals.” he stated.
