Manchester United former player Phil Neville reckons that Chelsea are on course for title glory this season.
The Stamford Bridge club regained their 10-point lead at the top of the premier league table following their 2-1 win over West Ham United at the London Stadium.
And Chelsea fans present at the London Stadium launched into a chorus of “we’re going to win the league” when it was full-time.
And Manchester United legend Phil Neville has hailed the premier league leaders after their victory over their capital rivals as he agrees with the supporters singing Antonio Conte’s men’s praises.
Neville told BBC Radio Five Live: “I think what we have seen tonight is the new Premier League champions.
“There is no team playing with this quality, organisation. There is no one who can get close to them.”
Conte Explains What Midfielder must Improve: Kante Made Mistakes
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has joked that midfielder N’Golo Kante still has a handful of things to improve in his game despite conceding the French midfielder was impressive in the 2-1 victory at West Ham on Monday night.
Kante dictated the Premier League game and was unlucky to miss out on the man of the match award which went to Belgian star and team-mate Eden Hazard.
N’Golo Kante played a big part in Eden Hazard’s goal after he intercepted a pass before setting the Belgian free with Hazard combining with Pedro before breaking the deadlock.
The French international finished the London derby with a pass completion of 88% and also won five tackles during the clash.
The defensive midfielder is one of the favourites to win the PFA Premier League player of the year.
And Conte speaking at his post-match media conference about Kante’s display, said:
“I know he made 50 passes, and he made five mistakes. He has to improve in this! I’m joking, yes! I have to find one situation to tell him to improve.
“N’Golo is playing very well. He’s a really good player. He has great stamina and also good quality. We are working to improve the quality. But all my players performed very well.”
The west London club are back in top flight action when they visit Stoke City on Saturday March 13.
